General Data Protection at WIND NOW

WIND NOW respects the privacy of individuals who visit this web presence and strictly adheres to the requirements of the GDPR as well as the data protection laws of the countries in which the company does business (including specifications by the Federal Data Protection Act).

The operator of this website takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your personal data will be treated confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection statement.

The use of our presence on the web is usually possible without providing personal data. As far as we are concerned, personal data (such as name, address or e-mail addresses, IAddress) are collected,  as much as possible on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet in general (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. A 100% protection of the data against the access by third parties is not possible. Through appropriate technical and organizational measures, Green Wind ensures in an ongoing process that the highest possible level of protection is achieved. This includes, among others:

  • Continuous employee awareness raising on the data privacy and data security topics (briefings, newsletters, etc.)
  • Introduction of technical measures to ensure the greatest possible protection against IT threats (e.g., establishment of a UTM Unified Threat Management system, use of the latest HW firewall technology, continuous updating and adaptation of rules and regulations, immediate response to identified security vulnerabilities through patch management)
  • Establishment and maintenance of security certifications according to ISO standards (e.g. ISO 27001) and BSI specifications (based on BSI basic protection catalog)

Personal data

In principle, data is only collected for the purpose of initiating or maintaining the business. The collection and processing is executed in accordance with §6 of the DSGVO and to the following principles:

  • Legality, good faith and belief as well as transparency
  • Commitment to a specific purpose (only for the particular business purpose)
  • Suitability for an intended purpose = "data minimization" (only as much as necessary)
  • Factual "correctness" and if necessary, up to date
  • "Storage limitation", i.e. only as long as needed for the business purpose
  • "Integrity and confidentiality" (data protection against unauthorized access through technical and organizational measures).

A request for information made via our website may require the collection of personal data, which are protected by data protection laws (in particular the EU Data Protection Regulation, DSGVO). The Green Wind Group always strives to process data in compliance with all laws and regulations. Therefore, Green Wind has taken all necessary steps to comply with the obligations under country-specific laws (including the Federal Data Protection Act) as well as the EU requirements (DSGVO) for the protection of personal data.

By entering your personal data and/or sending a contact request via e-mail or contact form, you give Green Wind your consent to collect and process your data. Within Green Wind, the data is only accessible to selected and instructed employees who have access authorizations according to the respective business purpose.

Your data will be used to provide personalized feedback and/or to inform you directly about tailored content, such as services or news, according to the purpose.

Green Wind will not forward your data to third parties without your express consent. This does not apply to so called data processors (e.g. newsletter agencies, web designers) with whom Green Wind has concluded a corresponding agreement. In any case, the processors are bound by the same duty of care and the applicable country-specific laws and EU regulations as Green Wind, and must at least comply with its standards.

Automatically collected information of non-personal nature

Server-Log-Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browserty/ Browserversion
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

This type of data cannot be assigned to any specific person; persons cannot be identified with it. A combination (linking) of this data with other data or data sources is not made. If we become aware of any indications that this data may be used unlawfully, we will check these facts retrospectively and inform you, if necessary.

Rights of personal data holders

In accordance with legal requirements, you are entitled to the following rights, according to Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR: Right to information, correction, deletion, processing restriction, and data portability. Further, you have the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) of the DS-GVO pursuant to Art. 14 (2) (c) in conjunction with Art. 21 of the DS-GVO.

Google Analytics

Green Wind uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offer by the user is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google will use this information on our behalf for to evaluate the use of our online offer by the users, compiling reports on the activities within this online offer and providing other services relating to the use of this online offer and internet usage to us. By doing so, pseudonymous usage profiles (an important requirement of the DSGVO) of the users can be created from the processed data.

Google Analytics is used by us exclusively with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the user's browser is not merged with other data from Google.

Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; the users can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online offer to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout .
